Poem: Feeling so alone – By Craig Ngwenya

Feeling so alone
Disconnected with me
Abandoned by my shadow
Renounced by my intuition

Robbed of my confidence
Detached from my innocence
Lost in this silence
With shattered pieces of patience.

Drowning in my sorrows
Hoping to be understood
Burning in my insecurities
Haunted by my thoughts of inadequacy.

Can’t feel my fragile heart
Can’t hear my weepy soul
Can’t seem to connect with
My giant sleepy exhausted mind!

Echoes sounding so loud
Thoughts feeling so heavy
Making the heart feel numb
And the whole body feeling so cold

Hoping a new day dawns
But the night seems to be so long
And the clock ticking so slow
With the temperature going down low.
